The Importance of the Right Wick
The wick is an essential component of every scented candle. It carries the melted wax to the flame and therefore plays a significant role in the candle’s burning performance.
For our handcrafted L’Charmé scented candles, we use carefully selected cotton wicks with linen threads.
During production, we ensure that the wick, plant-based coconut and rapeseed wax, and fragrance composition are carefully matched. After all, it is not just the material of the wick, but the interaction of all components that determines the candle’s burning performance.

The Interaction of Wax, Fragrance, and Wick
In the production of our L’Charmé scented candles, the interaction of all components is essential.
Our plant-based wax blend of coconut and rapeseed wax, selected fragrance compositions, and cotton wicks with linen threads are carefully matched to one another.
The wick plays a particularly important role: its size and structure influence how the melted wax is transported to the flame and burned there.
Proper Candle Wick Care
A well-maintained wick is important for the burning performance of your scented candle.
We recommend trimming the wick to approximately 5 mm before each lighting. Carefully remove any loose wick debris from the wax.
Make sure to place the candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface and away from drafts.
Never leave a burning candle unattended and always follow the safety instructions on the product.
